Instead of randomly searching in the thick crowds, Proxima indicates when your friend is in the vicinity.

Proxima app uses Bluetooth technology to sense the proximity. It helps you narrow down the area you need to search instead of searching through the entire place. It may not tell you the distance or location of your loved one accurately.

When you "enable proximity", only then will your friends be able to discover you.
